The Manor Hall in Coalpit Heath, Gloucestershire is a Grade 2 Listed building. It has recently been taken over by a charitable trust which aims to make the building self funding as a community asset. The building is let out to user groups, individuals and various clubs at various times during the day and evening. The heating was previously controlled by a volunteer who would set the time clocks and the manual zone valve switches for the required areas the night before.
After a survey was carried out by Kendra Energy Solutions Limited it was recommended that the current system be removed, and a small purpose built control panel be fitted along with various temperature sensors. Kendra Energy Solutions Limited installed a Cylon controller with optimised periods per zone and control of the zone valves.
The system now has its required letting periods adjusted once a week and ensures that the zone is at the desired temperature for the start of the let and maintains this until the end whilst minimising the energy usage. |
